I think its the garbage additives or nitrates I know its the meat because i went back and forth a few times and only ever got serious pain from the days i tried to save money and do publix brand. Publix’s biggest competitor is walmart actually and they know it Publix is #1 in grocery sales market share in florida and walmart is a close 2nd
Walmart actually is the biggest grocer in the united states Kroger is the biggest supermarket company Lowe’s/ht/publix (moderate selection of expensive cheeses/fancy wines If you don’t have the card or shop the sales, you get ripped off at these places) food lion/ walmart neighborhood market/ grocery section at supertarget (cheap and basic, a little less ‘no frills’ than the next category)
Expect publix stock to remain undervalued in the long run because the valuation is completely divorced from financial statements and is the byproduct of a popularity contest between amazon and kroger.
I go to publix weekly for bogo’s, digital coupons, and things that are worth the money like boars head meats, bakery items, some meats I found tuesday morning is a gold mine for reduced (quick sale) meats and i stock the freezer accordingly I hardly buy anything else there I've been working at publix since august 2023 and i'm heavily considering quitting
The hours are long and thankless Most of the customers here use what they want and don't care about anything else I'm overworked and i mentally can't do it anymore
