Like the original raspberry pi zero, raspberry pi zero 2 w features a mini hdmi port, a micro usb port, and a micro usb power port We strongly recommend purchasing accessories that can be selected above as they contain the necessary adapters and connectors to get started with raspberry pi zero. The same procedure can be used on raspberry pi zero and raspberry.

Two usb ports would have needed an extra usb hub chip on the board (and there's no spare room for that) But i don't measure any voltage over ground and vcc on the pcb. The one usb is directly connected to the arm processor (which is why it can do usb otg).
In my application, a pi zero w (along with a custom phat) *will* be powered by either the power usb connector or the data (otg) usb connector
I'm asking how software can tell which of those two is connected. The first board i came across to make use of this feature of the zero was the hubpixed, it uses four mechanical spring connectors to connect to the test points available on the bottom side of the board, providing four normal sized usb ports. The pi zero family has minimal (primitive) power circuitry and no protection All 5v connections (including usb) are directly connected (which is in violation of usb specs) so it doesn't make any difference how you power it.
So i have a bunch of these usb c boards, and planning to use some of them to power zeros in an enclosure
