Turo is a scam i rented a car from a host it was a 2011 honda civic piece of shit car but i needed it for one road trip.:
While driving at night a animal comes around and hits the side of the bumper. To top this all off, the car was also from las vegas airport, which is more convenient I'm just confused on why turo would be more expensive and why would anyone choose it when you can get a legit car from a rental car company for cheaper? I've found that the success of this decision depends largely on the physical access and setup to get to the car and to return it
It's great to bypass the rental counter and go straight to a reserved car but it's a pain if it's tucked away somewhere hard to access or requires an uber or cab to get to in the first place Sometimes i rent from turo, sometimes i rent from the traditional rental car companies I would rent from turo again. The only reason i wasn't on the hook for the damage is because turo has a limit on how long after a rental an owner can submit a damage claim and he was beyond it
